Special Packaging & Heat Handling Policy

Certain Benco products require special packaging during periods of elevated temperatures to help protect product quality while in transit.

This policy applies to products that are highly sensitive to heat when shipping to locations where the projected heat index exceeds 85°F.

Ground Shipments

For qualifying ground shipments:

  • Additional packaging costs will be added to the invoice.
  • These packaging materials are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Common Carrier Shipments

For qualifying LTL or common carrier shipments:

  • A refundable packaging deposit will be added to the invoice.
  • Customers are responsible for returning the insulated quilt packaging materials to Benco Sales.
  • Upon delivery, inspect the packaging immediately. If the quilt packaging is torn, damaged, or shows excessive wear, notify Benco Sales before repackaging and returning it. Please include photos.
  • Significant damage to the quilt packaging may result in forfeiture of the deposit pending review.
  • Do not use tape on the quilt packaging.
  • Benco Sales will provide a return shipping label and shipping box. Scheduled pickup is not included. Customers may drop the package off at the nearest FedEx Ground location.
  • Failure to return the quilt packaging will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Why This Policy Exists

Our goal is to ensure temperature-sensitive products arrive in the best possible condition. These packaging requirements help protect product performance during hot weather while reducing the risk of heat-related damage during transit.
